Entropy Dynamics

The focus of this research group is in theoretical quantum information science which is at the junction of information theory and quantum physics. If we encode information in quantum systems instead of classical bits, what new possibilities arise? We have particular interest in quantum measurements, open quantum systems and their characterisation, quantum thermodynamics and optical quantum computing.
